15 Minutes of Fame

Two weeks before our baby's due date he is already becoming a star! I had a really fun experience last week I would love to share. One of my friends owns an advertising company and one of the clients is Cox Cable. She asked me if I would be in a testimonial spot for Cox and I agreed before I even knew what I was getting myself into. The idea behind the spot was that I have a "bundle" and i also bundle my Cox services.

For three hours last Thursday our home was full of about 15 people including a makeup stylist, camera crew, sound person, people to help with the set lighting, a Cox representative, and a couple other people who I'm still not sure what they were there for. I had so much fun! I never wear real makeup, like foundation, powder, and all that, although in pregnancy I probably should have figured out how (my skin has gotten all splotchy!) and it was fun to have someone get me dolled up. I gave my testimonial, line by line, doing a variety of things, spotlighting the nursery and our living room, and all our baby boy's precious clothes and toys. I was a little nervous that I wasn't doing a good enough job for them to use my film in a real commercial, but I enjoyed every minute!

It's going to be another couple weeks before I get to see it, then another few weeks to months before it airs... whenever I can I will post a link so you can see it! It's supposed to run in 15 second and 30 second spots on TV, and possibly run online. Wait 'til you see our baby boy on film! He's way more photogenic than me or Erik!
