Parents have been telling me to enjoy the time before Benjamin is mobile as much as possible. They say that once he is crawling/walking he will be getting into everything, he will be harder to keep track of, and he won't be my "baby" baby anymore. They say it's not as fun as it sounds.
Welllll, Ben has been crawling for three weeks now and I can tell you they are right.... And they are wrong!! It is SO MUCH fun!! Sure, he is crawling all over, getting into anything and everything, putting things into his mouth, and has to be followed all the time. But I love it! He is in explorer and discover mode, and it is AMAZING!
Before I had Benjamin I was very active. I did something athletic every day and I much preferred being out and about to sitting at home. It seems that though I haven't changed my lifestyle definitely has! So I am really loving the fact that I get to chase him around now. It is much more fun for me to watch him move from place to place learning about all these new things than it was trying to make a baby toy exciting for the 102nd time!
In three short weeks my baby has gone from crawling five feet and collapsing to crawling for five minutes, pulling up on something, reaching to get a desired object, and then sitting back down. I absolutely love this stage!!! Or it could just be that I am simply falling more in love with my dear son every single day! I think both are probably true. :). He is on the move and I'm sure his first steps are right around the corner!
